Since last three days Alexa.com, a site for measuring local and global rankings for websites has been inaccessible in India. When connected to the internet using Jio internet and other operators and broadbands, an error page was coming saying – **YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS THIS WEB PAGE AS PER THE DOT COMPLIANCE**.
This was a shocker to lakhs of users who rely on Alexa.com for data analysis and other stats for measuring website usage and popularity.
Alexa.com is not a website with any objectionable content. But it is not known why the Indian Department of Telecommunications took such a decision.
