Airtel leads India’s mobile Internet rankings for the period April 2025 – March 2026, topping every key performance indicator overall and retaining 5G leadership for the fourth consecutive year. The annual nPerf barometer reveals a market where competitive gaps are widening at the top, even as all operators demonstrate sustained progress. Full results are available here.


Airtel claims 1st place in the overall rankings with a score of 63 725 nPoints, progressing from 2nd position in the previous period. The operator leads on every KPI overall, posting a Download speed (Mb/s) of 62.4 and Upload speed (Mb/s) of 10.2, alongside the best Latency (ms) at 63.32 ms. On 5G, Airtel retains the top position for the fourth consecutive year, leading in Download speed (Mb/s) at 113.8, Upload speed (Mb/s) at 16.8 and Latency (ms) at 59.0 ms — and is actively widening its lead over competitors both overall and on 5G.
Jio follows in 2nd place overall with a score of 58 484 nPoints, sitting more than 8% behind the leader. The operator maintains its five-year record of leading in Download speed (Mb/s) overall, posting 63.4 Mbps, and records the best Web Browsing (%) overall at 60.6. On 5G, Jio co-ranks 2nd with a score of 70 339 nPoints.
Vi completes the overall podium with a score of 43 939 nPoints, claiming 1st place overall in both Web Browsing (%) at 59.0 and Youtube streaming (%) at 71.9 — firsts for the operator in both categories. On 5G, Vi equally claims 1st place for the first time in Web Browsing (%) at 67.6 and Youtube streaming (%) at 77.7, while its overall Download speed (Mb/s) records a strong progression of +23% year-on-year, reaching 18.9 Mbps.

BSNL ranks 4th overall with a score of 27 453 nPoints, yet records the most striking relative improvement in the dataset: Upload speed (Mb/s) overall surges by +116% year-on-year to reach 2.9 Mbps, while Download speed (Mb/s) more than doubles to 7.4 Mbps. BSNL sustains a consistent upward score trend across five years, reflecting the tangible impact of incremental network upgrades.
